The Story
The dream was to take his bride to Paris for their wedding day. Instead he decided to bring Paris here!
This was designed with a 3D drawing package and then the individual sections were digitally separated to create the inner and outer layer of pieces that needed to be assembled.
The final pieces were then cut from 1/8" black plastic and then glued together. Even the display hoods at the corners were designed, laser cut and assembled to match.
The entire sculpture is lit with only 6 red-orange LED's. The tower separates in to an upper and lower half for transportation. A single knob comes through the wooden base platform to control dimming.
Even after the main event, the 540 lumens this lamp produces provides the perfect amount of ambiance to bathe the room in a cocktail lounge atmosphere.
