The goal was to remain very attractive and functional. Most other lights had a heavy base on the floor with long sweeping arms to hold the light in the final resting place. From those that hung down there was always an unsightly chain that detracted from the look of the piano or the decorated theme of the room.
The distance and angle were calculated to fabricate the light itself as well as special trolley studs designed to distribute power to the light itself and look attractive.
A special wall plate was made to allow for switching and dimming of the light.
As you will see from the pictures, it is a comfortable color and plenty of light.
